PAVLYUCHENKO EYES SPURS EXIT

The agent of Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has admitted that his client may be forced to seek a White Hart Lane exit to safeguard his World Cup hopes. The 27-year-old Russia international has fallen out of favour since the arrival of boss Harry Redknapp, with his only two starts this season coming in the Carling Cup.

Agent Oleg Artemov told The Sun: "His poor performance recently is not due to a lack of match practice, but psychological problems.

"Of course, not getting into the starting line-up, sitting on the bench is not good for any player. "But Roman is much more affected by the feeling that the manager doesn't trust him and prefers to use other forwards. "The World Cup is next summer and to waste another half a year on the bench may be very bad for his international career." Meanwhile, Brazilian youngster Sandro has spoken of his pleasure at being linked with interest from Spurs. The 20-year-old Internacional midfielder told the Daily Mirror:

"I am aware that clubs have watched me and read about Tottenham's interest, which is very flattering. "The Premier League is a great challenge for any player so I will look at any offers from England, but my club will decide my future."
